Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-rama 2 (Brinke Stevens, 2022) Review

Find more exploitation movie reviews here.

“It's nothing, just a little debauchery … in the bowling alley.” Belated sequels are always a tricky sell. Can you ever truly recapture the magic of the original movie(s), the texture and tone of the way they were shot, the time in which they were made, even the attitudes of the period? Do you risk trampling on the memory of what came before – just look at what happened with Indiana Jones, which (at the time of writing) is looking to be on-course for a disastrous reception to it's fifth entry (a belated-sequel of a belated-sequel). So, what about a raunchy horror-comedy from the heyday of the VHS rental era – what will a thirty-four year gap between films mean to the tale of a nefarious Imp trapped inside a bowling trophy?...

“Boy, what a girl goes through to send her brother to proctology school!” There's a killer on the loose, slaying their way through the set of a low budget trash cinema extravaganza, and while it's a tough job trying to keep your head attached to your body, it's seemingly a tougher job keeping your clothes on...

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama (David DeCoteau, 1988) Blu-Ray Review

Find more exploitation reviews here.

“Demons murdering your friends? I gotta tell you both, kids – drugs are not the answer.” Hailing from the heyday of the video rental store, when movies like this were hidden away at the back near the infamous beaded curtain and teen boys had few options for titillation if they couldn't find a discarded smut mag on the railway tracks, David (Creepozoids) DeCoteau's goofball cult favourite makes quite an impression. Not only did they make a movie in such a short time (ten days to write, two weeks to shoot), but  Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama is still being talked about thirty years on...

Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity (Ken Dixon, 1987) DVD Review

Find more exploitation reviews here.

“Big Movie. Big production. Big girls.” In space no-one can hear you scream … but there's plenty of hairspray! Let's be honest, can you ever live up to audience expectations with a title like that? Once slammed as “indecent” by a U.S. Senator, Ken (Zombiethon) Dixon's $90,000 VHS-era exploitationer isn't shy about coming forward. A cheap and cheerful sci-fi adventure flick, with a cast who spend most of the movie either in ragged bikinis or skimpy lingerie, Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity isn't aiming for P.C. Plaudits in the slightest – it just wants to give you a fun time. Think along the lines of Sorority House Massacre 2 – and set your expectations accordingly...
