Evil Dead Burn (Sébastien Vanicek, 2026) Review

Find more horror reviews here.

“To your perfect family.” Hey kids! What do you want out of an Evil Dead movie? Well, if it's a colour scheme that looks like three-day-old porridge and weighty themes about miserable personal relationships, then you've come to the right place...

Faces of Death (Daniel Goldhaber, 2026) Review

Find more horror reviews here.

“DIY horror is trafficking right now.” How do you resurrect and reinvent a semi-obscure horror franchise that focused on 'real' death and destruction to shock its audience many years before anyone had even heard of something called the World Wide Web and viral videos? In the case of this unexpected 2026 rebirth of the 1978 original, the approach is to make things timely to meet our current world of social media...

The Independent Critic reviews 'Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts'...

Richard Propes of The Independent Critic has published a review of 'Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts' - and you can check it out HERE.

Directed by Barnes from a script by Nick Thomson, Ms. Green is a deliciously dark delight, a dramatic short with a comedic gleam in its eye and a film that carries with it the spirit of a gothic poet's heart. Koster's Green is an unusual sort, though I'm hesitant to ruin any of it for those may eventually see the entertaining short. Koster makes us rather love Ms. Green, though perhaps from a distance. She's seductively psychotic, a wee bit fractured and yet possesses a sweetness that makes her endearing. Koster makes all of this believable and rather fun to watch.

Lensing by Will Middleton and Aaron Whitehead is effective throughout, and Veronika Koubova deserves immense credit for editing that makes Ms. Green work despite its slight 15-minute running time and an undeniable desire to spend more time with these characters.

Jason Goes To Hell (Adam Marcus, 1993) Review

Find more horror reviews here.

“I don't think so.” What does an audience want from a Friday the 13th movie? Not too much, for we're not a particularly demanding bunch when it comes to the machete-wielding franchise – Jason Voorhees in his iconic hockey mask hacking up some campers with style and verve will do nicely, thank you: real meat and potatoes stuff. It shouldn't be difficult to not fuck that up, right? … Right?!...

Indie Shorts Mag review of 'Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts'...

Another great review of our short film Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts, this time from Indie Shorts Mag. Check out their full review HERE.

"Green is the undeniable backbone of the whole affair (puppet Dziga may be the femora). She makes Elnora a particularly enjoyable heroine. Elnora is sweet-spoken and snarky, earnest and sarcastic. Patient. Secretly furious. And borderline psychopathic. The insanity is painted delicious, a tongue-in-cheek approach that transfers to other comedic moments, like a swish pan back and forth between Elnora and Dziga. For Elnora and Parker, the tone is softer than fluffy clouds, even as they share in the task of skinning a dead animal."

Silent Night Deadly Night (Mike P. Nelson, 2025) Review

Find more horror reviews here.

“Just don't forget who you are and what you do.” One of the most notorious slasher movies of the 1980s, torn from theatres after a fervent protest by concerned mothers, Silent Night Deadly Night (Charles E. Sellier Jr., 1984) nonetheless survived with a sheer bloody mindedness that produced four sequels and not one but two remakes. But how far can you really stretch such a straight forward, but admittedly vivid, concept as a serial killer in a Santa suit?...

UK Film Review on 'Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts'...

Check out the first review of Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts (watch the trailer) from William Curzon of UK Film Review HERE.

"It's truly a testament to the filmmakers' sheer ambitious filmmaking techniques and the excellent performances that make the more absurd elements work. Thankfully, most of the gags land tremendously, and the brief romantic aspects incorporated into the screenplay feel endearing."

Take 2 Indie Review of 'Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts'...

Check out the first review of Ms Green & Other Lovely Beasts (watch the trailer) from Mark Lakatos of Take 2 Indie Review HERE.

"Taking the grim compulsions of its titular taxidermist to entertaining heights, Ms. Green and Other Lovely Beasts is a potent one-two punch of wacky and lurid storytelling."

Space Cop (Jay Bauman & Mike Stoklasa, 2016) Review

Find more movie reviews here.

“Ugh, he'll be fine. I accidentally set my gun to stun.” Years in-the-making by a band of fan favourite B-movie reviewers from the Internet, sci-fi comedy Space Cop has turned into something of a punching bag by its own creators, but is that a fair assessment?...

Deathstalker (Steven Kostanski, 2025) Review

Find more exploitation reviews here.

“I've already eaten all of my good boots.” A cheap-as-chips sword and sorcery franchise that has been dormant since its fourth entry in 1991 has now been resurrected decades later by the director of Psycho Goreman and the rock and roll legend Slash in the form of a movie that begs the question: how many ways are there to destroy a human head?...

V/H/S/Halloween (Various, 2025) Review

Find more horror reviews here.

“Enjoy the spooktacular taste.” In what has now become an annual October outing for the portmanteau horror franchise, V/H/S takes on the subject of Halloween through six tales filled with gruesome gore and frenzied bursts of terror-fuelled chaos. But as a franchise with a reputation for inconsistent quality, can V/H/S/Halloween stand proud like a jumbo-sized chocolate bar or will it fumble the sugar-coated candy ball?...

Monster: The Ed Gein Story - a quick rant...

Season 3 of Netflix's true crime drama series from Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy has appeared on our screens, and after detailing the life and crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer (season 1) and the Menendez Brothers (season 2), their sights have now been fixed upon the so-called Butcher of Plainfield, Ed Gein.

The excellent first episode suggests a less gaudy and in-your-face tone, something with a splash of relative class (helped in no small part by an excellent performance from Laurie Metcalf as Gein's ultra-religious and overbearing mother) ... but this brief flirtation with taking the material seriously rapidly devolves, to the point that already by episode four Ed Gein is stalking babysitters and chasing two lost hunters through the woods with a screaming chainsaw while wearing a flesh mask, which was most certainly something he never did. Such moments become increasingly common as it becomes crystal clear that hewing close to the horrifying truth is of no real interest to the showmakers...

8MM (Joel Schumacher, 1999) Review

Find more movie reviews here.

“Not many people have been inside this room.” When a wealthy industrialist dies, his widow discovers a disturbing reel of 8mm film, so she employs a Private Investigator to verify if it's real or fake. Plunged into a downward spiral of depravity, this movie takes the viewer on a Grimm fairytale set during the dying days of the 20th Century just before the World Wide Web was able to spread unlimited perversions on a grand scale...

The Bikini Car Wash Company 2 (Gary Dean Orona, 1993) Review

Find more exploitation reviews here.

“Hasn't money always turned you on?” Despite having the character and plot depth of a puddle on a summer's day, 1992's The Bikini Car Wash Company – like a Playboy magazine without the articles – proved to be enough of a hit to deserve a sequel. But how do you expand upon such a meaty concept as bikini girls washing motor vehicles? With lingerie, that's how!...

The Bikini Car Wash Company (Ed Hansen, 1992) Review

Find more exploitation reviews here.

“Look at the improperness of your attire, young lady!” There's always been a joke about Playboy magazine from the mouths of those caught red-handed with a copy – “I read it for the articles” (and not for the ladies with their jubblies out) – and yet the publication was known for its quality writing on a whole range of subjects, giving many new writers access to a wider audience. Without those articles, though, what do you have left? And that's kind of what The Bikini Car Wash Company is – Playboy without the articles...

“He's like a little gremlin guy who likes to party.” Take off that cornflower blue corporate tie and set aside prurient interests, because it's time to go hog mild in semi-safety with a bodacious trio of rambunctious, hyper-caffeinated, knee-high troublemakers whose sole purpose is to turn your beige life upside down...
